MECTb surpass forZe at IEM5 Russia

MECTb are through to the IEM5 Russia qualifier final after fending off forZe on de_tuscan and de_inferno.

Starting out as Terrorist on de_tuscan, MECTb turned several heads when the scoreboard displayed a nifty 8-2 in their favor. Things would not change during the first half either, as the Russian squadron maneuvered the first half into an impressive 13-2 win. 

Swithcing sides, MECTb started out by claiming the first round as theirs, but a successful counter-attack from forZe saw the team temporarily stalled. Their countermove paid dividens for a short time, but not enough, as MECTb claimed the first match at 16-9.

Now on de_inferno, both teams shared points to begin with, but MECTb picked up the pace to set a 7-2 lead. As the first half was concluded at 12-3, it did not look bright for forZe, who were at this stage sure to drop out unless the team pulled off something amazing.

This did however not become reality, as MECTb secured the initial rounds to post a scoreline of 16-3.
